What an eventful week for Singapore – the territory that William Gibson affectionately calls "Disneyland with the death penalty"...
In the same week that a Singapore Airlines A380 makes its maiden voyage, the country rules that oral sex is no longer illegal. A coincidence? Perhaps not. For potential members of the 'mile high club', this new law and the spacious cabins of the Superjumbo must be good news!
In other (unrelated?) news, happy birthday to local Cantopop star Aaron Kwok! Unbelievably, baby-faced Aaron, one of Hong Kong's four Heavenly Kings, is 42 today. I expect that like me, he is a 'cleanse, tone, and moisturize' kind of guy. I wonder how he might celebrate:
